Adding music track...What got into Bethseda's head?

Probably the console part of their brain was at work...

I mean it is a nightmare to add music tracks to Skyrim. I started yesterday morning and I am yet to succeed.

Convertion from .wav to .xwm:
1) I've managed to install DirectX SDK (that took me forever)
2) then I installed Microdoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 (you have to)
3) I even downloaded the convert_wav_to_xwm.bat from some guys in order to avoid console command (by the way I've tried both ways with console and through .bat)

and I still havn't succeed in coverting my .wav file to a .xwm file

Do you guys know of a program that does the trick without going through this "[censored]" process that does NOT work
Or is it because of my .wav file in other words is there a specific type of .wav I need (eg mono or stereo, 44kh or more etc...)

This ck is really starting to get on my nerves...

Thanks for your help

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3159

I tell my Radio users to use that converter, it works really well for me. There are others on the Nexus as well.

If you are simply adding music through a mod you are creating you don't necessarily have to convert to .xwm, you can make a new audio track in the CK point to a .wav instead.
