I have adopted 2 boys in Riften any they will not go to my house even though I have beds and al for them and the one stands outside the orphanage saying he'll get his things.

I have an issue with adoption as well only for me it won't let me tell them I have a house they can move into, only that I have one with no room even though i've got all the beds.

I have this problem and its annoying. I adopted 2 kids, they both say lemme pack my things and say goodbye and ill see you at home. No matter how long I wait, when I get home they are there. But...they're stuck with dialog like they're still at the orphanage.

i have the same exact problem only thing is i can't adopt the homeless children or just the female children in general the boys are fine but as for the females not so much

Do you have a chest in there room? It states that they need a bed "and" a chest to store there treasures in.

I had the adoption glitch for a few days until I found this thread. No idea if Chaotic_Mayhem's "fix" actually works, but Kevin Shirley's post gave me an idea: maybe the kids DO need a chest/container. So I built all the containers for the bedroom area and it fixed it! I made a whole post about it here:
