Hey, i bought this yesterday and i was gripped, not once did i play MW3 or BF3 lol i couldnt stop playing! What i wanted to know was, i managed to kill 2 dragons, become a warewolf (AMAZING) and more or less finishing companion quests, reached level 15 (been doing alot of side quests) My problem is my perks, with this being my 1st go you tend to wanna try everything even though at the start u say to yourself "Im gonna be a thief"... i did that and then put perks into conjuration, about 3, i wanted to use Duelwield daggers which seems weak and have to rely on kitein mobs around with my bow and hardly using duel wield. (Should i change to shield n sword with light armour (currently using elven armour which looks sweet and the big dwarfen enchanted bow)

My question is, should i restart and start over puttin perks into what i want, or should i just keep play as with me only being level 15 its still pretty low and i hope the 3 perks i put into conj wont make any difference end game? I also SOLD my dragon bone(s) not realisein you can make armour with it >.< Killing with bows is good when u get 1hit kills, but not as fun as using shield and sword seeing death blows.

Restart - Make a shield + 1h + restoration + hvy armour

Keep playing you can still make minor changes early on.?

It will be easy to hit lvl 15 again. I started with a mage, got to level 25, decided I didn't like using a full mana bar to kill just 1 opponent and rerolled a warrior. Got back to pace very quickly. Reroll and play what you want!~

I played through until lvl 15 to get a feel for the world, i originally wanted to be an Assassin/Archer kind of character, but i so far havent liked the skyrim feel for those characters... Then I restarted as a Nord and sided with the Stormcloaks from the start (my first play through i didnt realize i even had that choice right after the opening!).

The good thing about the game is that you can go in any direction you want. If you want to start over, do it. You have more of an idea how the world feels and plays now so you would be better prepared to make your 'perk' choices...

I am level 25.

I went for a Ranger. The skills I focus on are:

1 Handed (dual wield swords)
Archery
Light Armour
Sneak

I can't really sit there and slog but I can pick off the weaklings, damage the harder enemies and then run in and savage them. Which suites my style because I like using the bows and fast paced combat.

I guess what I am trying to say is, it’s all about you play style man. That and being strict with your perks. My approach is to make myself the best I can be in my areas of expertise and then if there are any perks left over use them to complement that. E.g. Armourer for making dragon armour, enchanting, using Alchemy to make myself immune to poison.

If I was you I would re-start. Make a new character and focus on:

Heavy Armour
1 Handed
Block
Restoration or Destruction

Hope that helped.

I'm playing a one handed warrior with restoration. I'm actually finding it a bit boring and am going to reroll. I can tank a few hits but I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of the more fun stuff.

I played a charcter with one handed weapon and destruction magic for attacks but I didn't like being unable to block so at level 12 I started again with another battlemage, but this time with a shield in the left hand and conjured weapons in the right. Much more fun! (Especially because I get a lot more 'fatalities')

The time flies when you play Skyrim so replaying a part you already know (like the Greybeards etc.) isn't a big problem.

Thats simular what i wanted to do, but wasnt sure it would work, Tank class 1h+shield+hvy armour but able to summon elementals, demons etc.

Wasnt sure this would work as alot of the enchantments with +magic regen is on cloth armour not iron/plate =(

I suppose i could just start using shield? already have 1h perks, its more bow at the moment, but i guess i can stop that now as my bow is badass and i can 1hit foes and focus on armour and shield aswell as continue with conjure... mmmmm would that work?

The regen won't be a problem, if you just stick with conjur, but your manapool will be too small for stronger summons, if you don't invest a lot of skillups into magicka!

The shield / blocking mechanic is, IMO, needed to get any enjoyment out of the melee in this game. 1h+shield is far more engaging than any other melee option, especially if you take blocking perks.

That's why you pick up enchanting so that you can enchant your gear with +mana regen. Later vendors will be carrying all types of armors with magic regen enchants. But of course your own enchanted gear will be superior.

AHhhh sweet, so am i right in thinking you disenchant cloth armour with that enchant, then use that enchantment on your plate? i have shed loads of gems to use, just no enchantments (was sure how it worked if im honest)
