Aetherium Forge Additions

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 4:20 pm

Would not be surprised to learn that this has already come up, but in future DLC, I personally would like to see more available aetherium to use at the forge and more recipes. I like the three available, but was disappointed that a sword wasn't an option. ijs :\

I was disappointed that the three things you could make were totally worthless to my character :/

I would have liked it better if they made the items look unique instead of a dwarven shield/staff/circlet with one additional jewel in it.

I took the crown because I don't use a shield (archer) and I don't need to summon animuncui. I would appreciate it were there were more recipes, but I loved the mission and reward nonetheless.

Aetherium chest plate. When enough damage is taken the armor piece erupts staggering nearby enemies in a 40 ft radius, doesn't harm allies. The enemies then experience a slow effect and temporary melee weakness, they deal 1/2 the damage they did before for 5 seconds.

Aetherium dagger. The first strike on an enemy teleports you directly behind them, only works on the first strike on the enemy. Resets when you strike someone else and teleport, you can then strike the first person again for the same effect.

Aetherium battleaxe. When you do a sideways power attack with the 'sweep' and successfully hit two or more enemies, time dramatically slows for your surroundings and your character performs a slow motion (to a lesser extent than the enemies) spin and repeated sideways power attack which deals an extra 2x damage.

Here's hoping  !! I loved this quest  .

I wanted the crown to be a damn crown, not a dinky circlet.

The Jagged Crown set the bar pretty high and this stupid thing disappointed.

If they do a dwemer DLC, I want the Aetherium story to be grown upon.

In the book "The Aetherium Wars" it's said that Aetherium is rare, but found in Dwemer ruins. I think if just a few, very small non-respawning pieces are scattered around with enough to make a few more items and upgrade them, that'd be awesome. They'd need to be expensive to make though, needing jewels and gold along with the metal and Aetherium.

Maybe a sword, bow, and battleaxe.

Maybe a rare full set of armor, with a piece in unmarked places or ruins without any real clue as to where they are.

I like the idea of a reward that you need to find totally on your own or be very intuitive to find.

Yeah, the quest was great, but the three items available were a letdown. Disappointing after I was so excited to approach the forge for my epic loot, only to find none of the loot was relevant to my character.

They could do a few simple patches just to add aetherium shards to other places, and to add new aetherium items.

I think the challenge then would be creating unique properties for each item, or unique looks.

I like the dagger and chest piece idea, but if there's a larger number of items they may just need a matching set perk or something.

The Aetherium shield is actually pretty damned amazing.

Or unarmed attacks ignore armor.

Maybe all power attacks have a chance for knockback? Bows especially.

This, but they fly in slow motion, kind of like the effect on Dead Space with the stasis module

I'm not wild about Aetherium because it is a crafting material, yet what makes it important is its enchantment rather than its visual design or armor value. It would be nice to be able to craft visually distinct Aetherium Dwemer Armor, even if its armor rating were no different from base Dwarven. Even a reskinned Dwarven armor in shiny blue would be okay; unique artifacts seem to be more associated with Daedra etc.

Maybe a armor made entirely out of Aetherium nothing else, and it's design is new and unique. Personally I don't like dwarven armor, weapons, and design overall. It just seems clunky.

I can imagine like an Iron Man suit, with the Aetherium circle where the reactor in his chest would be
(But not looking like it, just with the aetherium piece)

Being a Raiders of the Lost Ark fan and treasure hunter lover in general as all my characters are usually based on that premise, I would love additional content involving finding more aetherium items. Maybe even an aetherium idol ala the golden fertility idol. I would like a sword though, or a better staff. That looks cooler. Full set of armor would be nice too.

i would like more aetherium items, but doubt it would be implemented. bethesda wouldnt have a feature in a dlc that required another dlc

I highly doubt they will add it in a DLC, Aetherium is probably the rarest ore in Tamriel. Maybe in a patch...but it's unlikely.
