After Installing 1.7 and Dawnguard MicroStuttering is gone

Post » Sat Aug 04, 2012 2:44 am

I think 1.7 patch or Dawnguard just got rid of the annoying Stuttering, Fraps is reporting exact same fps but somehow the game does feel much much smoother, i also encounter my first CTD since 1.3 patch... i was playing for couple hours and suddenly the game hiccup like 3 times in a row and bam... CTD, been playing for another 3 hours and havent encountered a second CTD, hopefully it was a rare random CTD.

Are you referring to the microstutter caused by the engine rendering 64 fps but the monitor refresh rate only doing 60 fps?

Well that is interesting.. maybe a placebo or Dawnguard contains improvements for Skyrim itself?

I mean the microstutter that is present in Markarth, Riften and several cities... its olmost gone, not completely and i dont know if it was caused by 1.7 or Dawnguard, since been offline untill yesterday night when i got Dawnguard along with 1.7 patch... its most probably caused by 1.7 patch since Dawnguard is just a esm and a bsa, but something definetly got rid of 60% of my microstuttering.
