Afterfall: Insanity Screens

Post » Thu Dec 27, 2012 3:47 am

Somebody posted this in the "Fallout General Discussion" section and either removed it or a moderator did.. He claimed that it was supposed to be in some magazine but it got pulled. So.. we'll see how this goes.

Screens:

I personally feel these are legitimate. I think the graphics match up with some similarities to Skyrim's engine, just tweaked a bit. I mean, imo it looks like it possibly could be Fallout 4 from looking at the second screenshot. Also I'd like to point out the glowing rectangle on the upper right of the character's arm. Looks like a Pip-boy.. but seems a little high up doesn't it? Anyways, what do you guys think?

Edit:
Looking at it again it actually doesn't look like a Pip-Boy at all, my mistake. It just looks like some green armor plate possibly? But if that's the case, it's strange that it's on multiple outfits.

These are not Fallout 4 Screenshots unfortunately, sorry for the mistake. :\

Would be cool, but they look like another game to me.

I thought the character had this kind of Dead Space feel. But it's almost hard to tell since we've only seen Fallout on the older engine's graphics.

Same thoughts here, would love it though, seems like a mod or some other "fallout effect" game. Some of the models on the first 2 images look like models from 3/NV, maybe a total graphics mod?
Like the Rubble is that same [censored] smooth rubble pile in image 1.
The guard looks like he's wearin an upgraded Raider Blastmaster armor.
In image 2 the buildings remind me of outer vegas buildings(The Gray and Casa Madrid)
It looks like similar gore effects in image 2
In image 2 the skyscraqer looks like a DC building.
Image 3 looks like a metro/sewer.
Spoiler
Maybe it's RAGE 2?

The second ones art style seems...off (but same textures), and the third looks like ghostbusters. :P

I doubt they are Fallout though, technically Fallout 4 doesn't even exist.

I'm pretty sure Fallout 4 will be developed for the next generation of consoles and doubt it would have reached that level of development yet. Besides, every one of those was from a third person over the shoulder perspective and the settings don't really look like they have the campy retro-future feel of a Fallout title.

Dunno what they are from.

Exactly what I saw thinking, but looking at a few of the pictures who's going to go to the lengths to mod multiple environments that I think look pretty detailed graphically. I mean it's definitely possible this is a mod, but I'd like to think not.

I think it may be a mod called Project Nevada. Part of it makes the graphics look good and atuff like that. In the second picture you can tell because the roadblock and road itself have the crappy graphic look.

I do believe without a doubt Fallout 4 is being developed for next generation consoles. A buddy of mine and I were talking about if they'd be using a tweaked Skyrim engine or not, I told him I think they're going to be using the Skyrim engine and that's sort of what this looks like. Honestly, if it hadn't reached development by now I'd be a little shocked. I'm not one who is informed on developmental process and such but assuming they've been working on it since 2008, it's been 5 years.. Plus looking at previous Fallouts, not everything was retro-like. These looked very wasteland centered. Also there is a 3rd person option in Fallout..

But Project Nevada applied to a whole new setting? This is obviously not from FO3 or NV, I mean it's possible it could be but this looks too good for Project Nevada. Also this could be pre-alpha for all we know if it's legitimate.

I've recently just been playing RAGE, let me tell you RAGE looks much better then these screens haha.

Well the images don't really show that, its a Makeshift gate, An empty street, IDK what 3 even is, and an apartment wall. Show me a car and i will be a believer.

People always want to be first, but even a quick glance at those screens and I didn't think they were even remotely fallout, not even a modded FO3. Probably a bit more careful look would have made you a bit more cautious.

And of course our members all know that posting illegally obtained info would be a violation of the forum rules. Just sayin'

Really? I actually did take a close look at them and I was honestly convinced. In my defense it turns out it was a post-apocalyptic horror game.. Oh well, I can only dream.

Bethesda could possibly be at that stage of development for Fallout 4, but it is unlikely those screens are genuine.

It's hard to say since the little pieces of info here and there really don't give anything for people to speculate. There was something posted by a forumgoer that showed a 2013 production cycle for Beth that talked about released games that would be seen, and it didn't show FO4 in it.

With FO4, i'm expecting Bethesda to really step up their game since they released Skyrim with a bunch of goodies. I just hope they introduce that crafting thing to the GECK from FONV since Papyrus is a pain to work with. Made it so easy to go in there, click on the forum and create new recipes while using the older style to add in items + new cooking stuff. This object oriented programming stuff gives me a headache.
