Agnorith Septim

Post » Wed Jul 11, 2012 2:36 pm

As we all know, Tiber Septim's grandson Pelagius died with no heirs, forcing his cousin to take up the throne. This cousin was the son of Agnorith Septim, Tiber Septim's brother. Now, what the hell is the deal with Agnorith? According to official dogma, Tiber was from Atmora; does this mean that Agnorith was also believed to be a fellow Atmoran? Was Agnorith from Aclaire as well?

He's a footnote, really.

The rest is just air.

I was thinking about asking this very question the other day.

I wonder if he was Hjalti's brother, or even a relative of one of the others? Or perhaps he was merely brother by merit.

What if the ghost of Old Hroldan did not die on that very day? Maybe we would have a Bethodus Septim who was a shield-brother from Aclaire.

He's the younger brother always hanging out with Tiber, following him everywhere he goes but never gaining any importance because everybody is constantly looking and adoring the older brother. No historian or writer even dared spending time with him in fear of losing sight of Tiber himself.

The only reason his name is mentioned at all is because his line lasted longer then Tiber his line did.
