do agree that skyrim needs an option name your horse and what would you name your horse??
i guess i would name my horse nightmare.

I wouldn't mind it would actually give me a reason to stop stealing horses but I really don't know what I would name a horse though.

His name would be Gohan.

If I named him I would feel even worse when he eventually dies . If I could name my horse his name would be horsy #32 at least until it was time for horsy #33.

I only road stolen horses.... till I had 100,000+ gold.... now I buy horses to make travel faster. When they die... well I have something to spend 1k gold on. Keeps the economy going. And I like to think that maybe the enemy that killed my horse might have got a lucky shot on me, so in a way the horse saved my life... or maybe one of them did.

I'd actually rather like that. Would add a little flavour, but I am sure this would be easier as mod content. I am not so much against it saying [your name]'s horse. Though I am sure that the horse that you can get from the Whiterun stables has a name. Not entirely sure what it is called off the bat. Still nice to have your own name set up.

Oblivion didn't have this either. I think it would be great to be able to name a horse. And while we're on the subject of naming, I wish we could name our saves also. Bethesda has some kind of grudge against us naming things, I think.

Yeah, first time I bought my first horse in Whiterun I thought I could give Allie a new name. But I was hoping too much.

Still I know it's not impossible to add this little feature though.

I think it'd be a great addition. I changed my Oblivion horse's name via the command console, but this obviously won't work for console players.

I am already heartbroken when a horse dies in combat. I can't imagine what I would do if my named horsie died. But yeah, that would be a cool little feature.

I'd like an option to name my horse too. and my dog, and my house. and my inn. if gamesas ever lets me own my own inn.

The option would be nice just like potions.
