Before I go to GOG, can anyone who already has, tell me if all the AI works? as well as if there are any serious issues with game play online?

I have my original disc. And would love to get back to playing this.. Come to think of it, I don't recall completing the game way back when.
I've read through most of the posts relating to MAX and/or MAX2, will be checking out the playability with sound disabled. See how that goes.

If you have the original disc, you might be able to get it to work using DOSBox. We suggest using a frontend. The one that is always suggested to us is D-Fend Reloaded:
