Aiming in ESO

Post » Wed Jul 17, 2013 5:02 pm

Tell me what do you think about aiming in ESO? All skill and spell needs to be aimed. So players can dodge them. It will raise the level of PVP and abolish the border between high level player and low level player. Also there should be skills thats not require aim, but not all skills and spells. The meaning of power will be how skilled and good at aiming and dodging you are not what level you got or eq. Of course eq and level will give you adventage, but not too much. Imo it's lame when 10th level atack 50th level and he can't really deal dmg to him(low level to high level).

P.S. I know my english burns.

How does an aimbot actually work? By pattern recognition?
In which MMO did this happen? (Serious questions, I want to learn.)

I absolutely like the idea of aiming. Your power in combat should depend on your own skills, not numbers.
But I would like to understand arguments against that.

Guys... there is still the softlock system. Yes you have to aim AT your target, but if the arrow/spell is set loose, it WILL hit the target, even if the move. There is a double tab of A or D which will issue a dodge roll, but that will cost stamina.

Also if you press tab to cycle targets, you can hit someone who is behind two other characters. This is done so t is easier to keep track of your target and hit it in a large group scenario.

It is not entirely the same as in Skyrim, becauss MMO have latency and lag. On your screen you think you hit the target, while you actually missed it. I think this is the best hybrid so far.

Bots will be anyways and Zenimax will chase botter anyways so what the problem?

When you cast a spell i won't hit target instantly so you need to aim one step faster than your target. As I said before not all spell and skill should be aimable. There should be different ways of dodging like Koensol said: a softlock system and you should can avoid the skill/spell by simpli running out of range or running in different directory.

I hate it. The aiming in TESO is softlocked and makes dodging impossible and it also alongside with infinite arrows will make the archery to be boring and not like we are used with other TES. The dumped down archery and spoiled aiming are the biggest flaws we know will be in the game this far.
