And to continue with the theme of Honest Hearts, Waking Cloud with 8 tries, though I needed to retrain him to get that right, so I'm not sure if it counts.

MUAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA! I HAVE DONE IT!

Valsharess has been played 18 times. Drown queen from Hordes of the Underdark! And to think, I was going to try her yesterday and didn't. Glad I did. I had to be persistent though, he couldn't guess her the first two times I tried, but the third run through he finally got it on the second guess!

haha, took it 3 tries to get the weighted companion cube, but some of the questions are rather obvious.

It got Goku (very generic I know, but I figured it was a good starting point)

It didn't get Yusuke Urameshi from Yu Yu Hakusho though, which I'm kind of surprised about because it isn't that obscure

[edit] Hah, it actually did get Yusuke after I continued when it guessed wrong

Tried to get it to guess Chuck Bartowski, from the series Chuck. Was going great, until it asked the question "Is the character's name also the title of the series?". I put yes and up popped Magnum P.I

It's only as good as what people put in it, which means it mostly is fine with popular culture figures, real or imagined. Pick some important historical person like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francisco_de_Sande though? It loses. Badly.

Maybe its just becuase i'm only using video game characters but I have yet to fool him. I shouldn't be surprised by this, but I am.
EDIT: wow, 18 questions and it guessed the paddle from pong, I honestly dont know if theres a game that it can't guess.

System Shock 1 , Edward Diego.

It got Bradley Nowell in 25 questions

Stumped it with Cincinnatus

EDIT: Impressive. It got Monkey from Enslaved in less than 10 questions.

I think Akinator assumes I'm giving him a lot of wrong answers as I'm frequently given conflicting questions or answers that clearly don't match up. For example, whenever Akinator pops up on the forums I stop by and give Jagadish Chandra Bose a shot. He was a Bangladeshi/Indian scientist, and despite Akinator being told that my character was Indian, Hindu, and dead more than 40 years he went with U Thant, who was Burmese, Buddhist, and dead less than 40 years.

My six-year-old son gave Akinator a shot and went with nature show host Nigel Marvin, Akinator didn't get it. His first guess (Attenborough) was very good, but then he went with Dawkins, who made no sense given the questions I answered. (Unless Dawkins is now hosting a children's TV program.)

I decided to try some easier ones and while I was impressed that Akinator got Dirac on the first try, it took him three tries to get Billy West and he didn't get Yeardley Smith.

I think the trouble is that it weights every question equally. If your character is a woman, but otherwise every question you answer fits perfectly for Peter the Great, then there's a chance it will guess that. It should be programmed to drop the answers to ambiguous questions first rather than the more black and white ones, but I suppose that would require changing the way it works considerably...

Vivec in 31 tries.
I am impressed.

Edit: It also got Divayth Fyr and Rincewind, and produced nice pics of all of them.
