Alchemy and poisons.

After reading this article I am kind of concerned that poison is not going to be something we as players can make but instead be tied to weapon skills and abilities. http://tamrielfoundry.com/2013/10/skill-overview-ranged/

The top skill for the bow is Poisoned Arrow. Does this mean we wont be able to poison arrows with our own types and are tied to what the abilities give us or will we have more options ?

I was hoping for a full alchemy system like the ones found in the single player games but now this has cast doubts on my thoughts.

Or you can stop being difficult and realize that the "Poison Arrow" is a magical skill that launches a poison arrow and not a poisoned arrow in actuality.

Aren't the active skill things more like spells though? In that they're not something that involves your weapon directly but gets cast in between swings or shots or whatever?

Or you can stop reading so damn much into things. We already know there are no arrows in this game, but you can enchant your bows.

It's stupid to think that we wouldn't be able to enchant our bows to have poison damage on them.

It was poor wording on their part, but, just because an ability is called "Poison Arrow" doesn't take away from the fact that weapons still have the potential to be enchanted so they do poison damage. Really stop being so damn difficult dude.

oh yes the enchanting. we were talking about poisons though, not enchantments.

Who was attacked? All there is here is a few wild assumptions based on very little info and those clarifying with common sense and logic. If you think being responded to with common sense and logic is an attack then thats on you.

As to the OP, again no, one single ability doesn't mean there will be no poison usage. Poison arrow is an ability for our action bar. So it makes sense that we will still be able to enchant and/or poison our weapons to apply it when we use the actual weapon attacks bound to the mouse buttons.

I appreciate the OP's point, and it was worth raising. My "attack" was simply a request to quit the senseless bickering that has followed since. We have the info, and have made our conclusions. Nothing we can do now but wait for more.

I think you are reading a bit too much into this, it's just one ability, I do think poisons will be a part of alchemy and you'll be able to apply them to weapons anyway.

I like having poisons from alchemy. Just hope they aren't as OP as the ones I use in Skyrim. :cheat:
