Alchemy lab ib Breezehome

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 1:30 pm

After loading dawnguard I can't buy the alchemy lab in breezehome.
I talk to the guy in dragons reach and bought everything else but for some reason the alchemy lab doesn't install.
I have given him the money about 4 times now but still no alchemy lab.
The option to buy it never goes out of the conversation menu but my money do's go out of my pocket.
Not a real big deal as this won't be my permanant home.

Just wondering if anybody else is having this issue.

Edit: I should have checked my spelling.Thats supposed to be Alchemy lab in breezehome.

It's one of a few bugs reported during beta that were never fixed. I say beta, I should say early access publicity lottery.

I guess I'm not the only one then.

What you have to do is un-install dawnguard, clean out the cache, and then go back into the game. It will ask you if you still want to load the game for the content is no longer there. Continue to load the game, and go get the alchemy lab. After you have it, re-install dawnguard. At least it worked for me. If you already have the lab you are fine. One of the many bugs/glitches that was reported.

Its hard to fix bugs, they have to find the cause, think of a solution, test solution if it works apply to next patch, if not repeat previous steps. The beta pretty much allows for a two week head start.

I don't really understand this post. You disagree but reinforce my point that it was simply an early access lottery and wasn't really there to fix bugs.

What was the point of the beta? I keep reading that most of these problems were brought up in the beta but nothing was fixed.

I think the same too :(

I just can't believe this, what was that beta testing about then? i invested several hours with my new character and now when i finally buy breezehome, i can't get the damn alchemy laboratory, and no, it's not easy to erase dawnguard now, buy the house, and re-install. What a mediocre way to "fix" this anyway.

I can't believe this, i swear... my god, disappointment over disappointment with every patch over this game :(

You are surprised? they did the same thing with the 1.06 PC "beta" before you had the Dawngaurd one. They ignored those bug reports as well.

This is nonsense. If it needed bug hunting; which it clearly does, delay release until you have them fixed. However Beth doesn't seem to work this way. They clearly would rather have your money and the player base can go fly a kite if we don't like it.
