Alduin glitches up at start of game!

Post » Mon Jul 23, 2012 11:45 pm

I don't think this has been brought up yet as I have searched for it and not really found anything, however, I'm human and it's possible I missed it. Anyways, I don't know if all platforms are experiencing this issue, but when I load up a save game to make a new character (after the cart ride before you are asked to create your character) Alduin ends up not following the scripted event when your character is taken to the chopping block. Instead he flies around in circles and never comes down. Meaning that literally I could sit there for hours on end and all he would do is fly around like a moron. I'm playing on the Xbox 360 and my game is installed onto the HDD. I've yet to hear of anyone else having this problem, so I thought originally that it was something I had done. So I attempted saving in different places before character creation, but nothing worked. If I want to make a new character I have to watch the beginning over and over and over. Which, don't get me wrong I have no problem watching the beginning of the game, it's just getting old quickly as I make a lot of characters. Not to mention that it's already annoying enough to have to play the ENTIRE tutorial every time I want a new character. So if this could be fixed sometime within the near future I would really appreciate SOME kind of support. :D

It's not because of Dawnguard. It's a well known bug that can be fixed by starting a new character.

Yes it happened to me as well. I just started a new game and it stopped hanging up.

The funny part about the glitch at least my experience with it was that the basket that catches the dismembered head was missing so the head hit the ground then rolled almost down to the players feet. When I completely restarted then it all stopped and the head basket was back LOL.

I have started a new game and like I said yes I can make a new character this way, however I would prefer not to have to watch this everytime I make a new character. I make new characters almost every other day. I'm up to eleven as I type this and I'd prefer to be able to skip SOME of the dreadful beginning to this game. :P However making a new character from new game does NOT fix this glitch. When you load the game up from ANY save it does this. You HAVE to press new game in order to get by this glitch. At least that's how it is working for me. Believe me, I tried everything I could think of before I posted this to avoid oversaturation.

Unlucky. Never happened to me before and I've made several new characters recently.

yeah ive had it too, on 360 also. not so bad as the cart you start out in running over the top of the cart in front of you and endlessly spinning. least alduin flying around forever doesnt give you s headache just watching it.

*edit*
only had the glitches once each, made somewhere around 40 different characters so im not bummed about it.
