my build idea is essentially a warlock i guess but using 2h swords and magic .
so far the build will have the following
essential (note if you think something should be essential in this build let me know)
2handed combat
conjuration
(this is a big one for the build. i love this magic school and people dont know how amazing and fun it can be)
alchemy
enchanting
possible
smiting
destruction
restoration??
illusion ( i have an idea that this would be more important then destruction and restoration as the second school of magic. i just think conjuration and illusion will go amazingly well with each other as a warlock build.)
stealth?!?? do you think this build would need any stealth aspects?
archery. < i am considering this because i could just use a conjured bow and use that instead of doing any destruction. that would be the only conjured weapon i would use though as i would like the extra enchant stats on my 2h sword
now a quick overview
i would love for you to put what you think this build needs in your own opinion but so far this is what i have come up with. im not too sure what amour to do, maybe robes. but i was looking more on light amour. i considered heavy but it did not seem to fit a magic type build as well as cloth or light amour could, plus if robes would be best to go instead of light amour, then there will be no point in using smiting. as stated the only conjuration weapon i would consider using is bow. i would like to be able to have a sword crafted with enchants and what not to the way i want it plus i have heard conjured swords aren't as powerful. but that leads to another question am i being too ambitious with the 2h sword idea? the play style would usually be summon my minions change to great sword and fight melee . but i did also consider either dual wield weapons (sword dagger maybe) or just a sword or dagger in one hand and a spell in the other, yet i will find myself trying to dual cast as much as possible to make all my summons more powerful. another question would be do i get rid of the melee combat all together and try a more pure mage build? (considering i have never played a mage or many of the magic schools before)
sorry about the read. i know a lot of you will just say "play what you want we don't care" but i am generally interested in what you all think of the build idea and what you all would suggest .if i can perfect it i would even post the build for other characters to copy and try out.
thank you for your input and time.
