Hello community! I am going to post all the bugs and its fixes on this thread. Just tell me what problem your having with the game and I'll see if I can answer it. This is just something I want to do on my free time and something I would love to do for this community. I will begin with the bug that happened to me on the Xbox 360.

Xbox 360:

Can't get the totems of hircine for the new werewolf powers because aela doesn't give the quest for me.

All of the beast races display as the default vanilla vampires, no orange eyes.

This quest may be impossible to start as Aela will constantly give the player Animal Extermination quests, this is possibly caused by marrying her. May also be caused by being cured of Lycanthropy. Possible solutions below:

Have all the remaining witches heads in your inventory and not stored in one of your houses

One possible way would be to stop following the Totems of Hiricine quest and follow a quest that leads the Dragonborn to an area that Aela cannot follow you into, thereby forcing her to leave your side and put the quest on hold. Afterward, find her and (SAVE FIRST) start the quest again and see if the Totem will be at a different location, or get her to follow into Haemar's Shame, THEN start the quest again.

If any of the Companions died (apart from Kodlak) before this quest, Aela will constantly talk to you when she gets close enough. This also makes her follow you everywhere and counts her as a pursuing enemy.

• Solution: Pay all bounties in all nine holds, but do not go to jail.

Dexion Evicus (moth priest) is glitched from either faction. If you are Dawnguard, he will remain hostile and fight at Fort Dawnguard. If you are vampire, he will not become enthralled after being fed on (which completely stalls the questline and renders the DLC unplayable past this point).

Heres another bug and fix for you.

If Quest "Bolstering the ranks" for the Dawnguard faction is bugged so that the NPC your supposed to find and speak to is hostile, exit the area (after finding him hostile, keep him in the cage), wait 3 days, reenter area, now hes all freindly.

It's really cool that you want to help people but it's just insane that folks have to use insane workarounds on a CONSOLE to get the game to work correctly.

That's part of the reason I left PC gaming was because I didn't want to deal with this [censored].

I'm having the Dexion problem as well, from the Dawnguard side. As soon as I found him I saved my game, then killed all the vampires that had him trapped. But he stays in the crouched (injured) position. I can talk to him fine in this position, but when I leave the cave and arrive at Fort Dawnguard, he becomes hostile and I cannot continue the quest.

i have them all in my inventory still only gives me animal extirmination

This isn't specific to Dawnguard, but I can't find a solution to it and it's making Dawnguard frustrating to play because my character can't fight with melee weapons effectively.

I have heard the bug is somehow related to the Elemental Fury shout, but that's about all I know. Basically if I equip two one-handed weapons, the one in the right hand will swing very, very, very, very slowly. Slowly enough that combat with dual wielding is not even remotely practical. The only other combat skill my character has at a level where fighting enemies can be thought of as an option is Marksman. So I have to fight EVERYTHING with bow and arrow, which can get very annoying when I'm forced into closer combat with multiple enemies and forces me to fight by means of complete stealth 99% of the time.

Do you have a suggestion on how to fix this?

I downloaded dawnguard and when I go to play I dont have it its like I didnt even download it even tho I know I did Its on my hardrive can you help?

Most annoying bug I've encountered is that when I want to buy an armored Troll from Gunmar, he says that I already have a creature following me. I'm sure that no animal is following me, I even killed my horse to be sure but Gunmar still won't sell a troll to me... if you look at the fact that a pet armored troll is one of the most awesome things in Dawnguard, It's pretty damn annoying. :/

I've seen much more people over the internet with this problem and it looks like it's very common.

I'm unable to re-enter after the soul cairn after completing the Dawnguard quest line.

Additional Information:
- To enter the Soul Cairn I told Serana to make me a vampire so I had access to get into it.
- After I got what I needed from the Soul Cairn I had to go get Vamparism cured so that I could finish the quest chain with the Dawnguard
- It will not let me enter the Soul Cairn regardless of if I am a Vampire or not.

Sounds like your problem might be because you have a new console/same HDD or new HDD/same console.

You cant just swap and change HDD's on xbox they have an erm... thing on them which means they are paired to a certain HDD. Basically theres two ways to get it loaded if thats your problem.

1. Probably the easiest is to go through your settings and theres something about changing the ownership of the HDD (to pair it to that console). It'll be under Memory or something.

2. The other way (if you dont want to changed rights to this new HDD/console) is to make sure you are online and connected to xbox live until your game has loaded (actually when you get to the main start screen if its like Oblivion it'll say something like "loading content") after that you can load your saves etc as normal and disconnect from xbox live if you need/want to. (i normally just wait till ive loaded my save up, then do it.

i have the first problem u mentioned but i have no corrupted data i already deleted it, but i am unsure as to how to clear the cache and what dose this do? and i have already recovered my account.

so i have the first problem and i did delete the corrupted stuff and cleared my cache twice did not work i still get this unreadable disk. i already recovered my account so i fixed the online problem do i have to do it in that order? and is the unreadable disk a different problem then ur first one it happens only when loading a save from b4, i also can not save a game or it becomes corrupted instantly.

also my Xbox has gotten a ton slower since the offline problem it takes ten sec just for an item to go onto me after i equipped it. and i stay at the xbox screen when xbox is first turned on for more then it was b4 the offline problem.

I've seen people complain about the game lagging from time to time after downloading Dawnguard. This has happen to me a few times and I think it's caused by something in the cell your in bugging out like a vase or a body clipping in and out of the ground or an object. To fix this use the wait option for 24 hours or more. The item should disappear or respawn in the right spot.

same thing just happened me right now also.

I have noticed one bug thats really starting to get on my nerves because the new mounted combat is awesome. Anyway the bug is that the crosshairs dont show up when im on any horse apart from if its the first time i go on a horse after turning my xbox on then they show up but disappear again if I dismount and then go back on it again

Walking on water after becoming vampire lord.

After becoming vampire lord, guild master's hood turns characters bald.
Besides, other helmets can be equipped even after guild master's hood has already been equipped.
