ALOT vs A Lot

Post » Tue Dec 20, 2011 6:08 am

I use the word "alot" instead of "a lot" on the internet. What is the big problem with that?

I made some discussions about some ideas I had for a video game and a console a while back and the people who replied like flipped out and were all like "the word is a lot not alot" and one dude said "alot" reminded him of some internet blog animal or some other hipster thingy out there, but he knows that wasn't what he thought of when he saw it, he was just making a joke, which wasn't funny. I dont know but what is the big deal with that?

And just saying, because of those people trying to make a useless point over the internet, I ALWAYS use the word ALOT instead of "a lot" in their honor. YEAH ~.~

There's really no need to have a thread like this.

Harping on grammar and spelling is against the rules, which is funny given that someone harping on grammar and spelling would presumably care a lot about rules. Send me a PM linking to the offending posts and I'll have a little chat with them.
