I need to sprint. I'm running on a PC and the manual says to press the ALT button. I do so and just stand still. I tried pressing W and ALT, but that just seems to be a run. I looked at the controls and they say that ALT is sprint. Am I missing something?

why dont you remap the sprint button to another key?

Remapping was a good idea, but it didn't work. I tried to remap to several different keys. No good.

Are you sure you're not over-encumbered?

You need to press "move forward" + "sprint".

I've noticed that sometimes sprint doesn't work when used right after other things. Sometimes coming out of sneak makes my sprint stop working for a second. If I go back into sneak, then out again, it works just fine.
