So, I ordered my copy of Skyrim from Amazon. It's not yet dispatched. Will I have it for the 11th?

It might be dispatched ON the 11th since that's when it's released.

No. They have forgotten us entirely. We will wait and wait and wait while everyone else plays happily. You and I are doomed. Doomed, I say!

Of course, we will get the game on Friday unless the delivery people are on vacation.

This is what Amazon sent to me today: it sounds like they haven't received the copies to date

Hello,

I apologize for any misunderstanding about the delivery estimate for your order. We rely on the manufacturer for release date information. Our most recent information was that "Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" will be released on November 11, 2011.

Once this item has been released and we receive copies, we will be able to ship it to you. It is not uncommon for there to be a delay of several weeks between the release and distribution of a new publication.

I can confirm that we still expect to ship your order in time to be delivered to you by November 11, 2011.

When your order is shipped, you should receive an e-mail message confirming the date, contents, and method of your shipment. As per our standard policy, we do not charge you for items until they enter the shipping process, so you will not be charged for this item until it is available and we have shipped it to you.

We hope to see you again soon.

Thank you for your recent inquiry. Did I solve your problem?

Mine hasn't dispatched either.

If you selected First Class, it will be guaranteed for the 11th. Or so they say :P

Back when I pre-ordered ACB CE and chose release-date shipping it shipped the day before release, and was at my doorstep the next day at 11 AM. I use Amazon US btw, so if it hasn't been dispatched yet don't worry, as long as it says the estimated delivery date is 11/11/11, then it will arrive Friday. If it doesn't get dispatched tomorrow, then you should worry.

Might as well wait until tomorrow, no need to cancel yet.

* IF * it ships tomorrow, it will go one day and arrive on Friday. And if it doesn't ship by the end of the day tomorrow just cancel then and pick it up on Friday.

Don't worry. As long as you chose release date delivery, you're fine. In the off chance it arrives late, they will give you a $5 gift card for your inability to wait one or two days. But trust me i understand any worry you may have. I pre-ordered Dark Souls from Amazon.

I hadn't checked my emails for last day or two having already recieved my "its been dispatched" email... so i've gone into them and saw a email saying RE: Delivery Delayed...
having a heart attack while trying to read the email.. seems to take a hell of alot longer than usual.. turns out it was about an email i had sent on monday...
not exactly related but i still ties into skyrim deliveries

The wait is driving me insane - If Amazon US ships to arrive this Friday then that is ok. Public holiday though right?

I have used Amazon delivery date delivery, as well as the Prime Overnight service many times.

Amazon US has a massive overnight delivery service set up for Prime customers. It's extremely reliable.

I'm not quite worried yet despite it not having yet shipped; for that matter, even if I get it a day late it's not like I'd have a huge amount of time to play on Friday anyway so I wouldn't miss much. :P Though I'm certainly impatient for it, and I wouldn't mind at all if Amazon hurried things up a bit. ;)

I don't think US shipments have been distracted yet. Mine hasn't either.
