Tried those AMD Catalyst? - Rage Performance Driver on my Alienware laptop (m17x)

AMD Radeon HD 6990M

Makes a blue screen system crash and drivers get messed up...

Tried it again with clean driver install instead of updating => gets installed but resolution is messed up and can't run a single game...

So yea tried this 2 times now and it doesn't work :S

Are there new drivers needed for my AMD Radeon HD 6990M????

PS: yes I also tested the .cfg method, still game crash on startup...

AFAIK both the rage drivers are incomplete. So far the best to do would be to sit back and wait for ATI to finish the working drivers and for ID to provide more patches.

I tried both drivers, they install fine but destroy the resolution and graphics of my laptop....
