Do The 11.12 Drivers Fix Rage Issues ???

Seems to be no Rage-specific fixes in this one, although there are Doom 3 and ETQW fixes, meaning that improvements in their OpenGL driver have happened. Although whether these are general improvements or workarounds directed at these specific games remains to be seen.

The 12.1 catalyst preview is supposedly coming out as well and Anadtech has an article on it.

Apparently AMD is trying to produce their first really comprehensive gpu compute drivers for their new architecture. Makes you wonder if there's a little conflict of interest going on here. AMD needs these new compute functions for their upcoming video cards rumored to have 385 bit buses and 3gb of vram, while the id tech 5 needs them to do a few gymnastics at the same time and there's a limited amount of memory available for both.
