I upgraded from http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130441 to http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130660 .

Both are amazing cards and max out pretty much every game on the market that i have played. (currently maxing out Skyrim with my new 560. might be able to with my 260 as sell) The 260 is deactivated on newegg but im sure you can find it somewhere for $100 or less, pretty good card for the money,lasted me several years and would probably last me a few more, but wanted to upgrade since i had the money for it. The 560 is amazing, definite buy if you don't mind spending about $200 for a card.

Stay away from the 250,450,550. You want something that is at least 260,460,560 or higher. The x50 cards are not meant for gaming.

460GTX/HD6850 is the bang for your buck. If you have money to spend go with 560GTX TI/HD6950.

^^^ To the person above me. GTS 450 is fine as long as you have a lower resolution. My friend is playing skyrim on Ultra with an option or two on 'High' settings, on 1280x1024 resolution. Runs smooth. Saying isn't a gaming card is wrong, it's capable.

There is no reason to think that upgrading will improve your performance. Issues abound even on sli/crossfire setups.

The performance issues i can almost 100% guarantee are shadow related, turn shadows to low/off and your performance will be insanely better. The way they handle shadows is all messed up.

Some graphical stuttering issues are as simple as putting fdefaulpov=xx in the wrong place. You aren't wrong by saying this, but you aren't 100% correct either.

I′ve got a ati HD6950 with unlocked shaders, cheap card and i can run skyim on Full HD (1920x1080) on my led tv, its just supersmooth!

Which is why i said "almost 100% guarantee". Besides, better to change a setting like shadows first before screwing around with the ini file.
