... Anger... RISING!

Post » Sat Aug 18, 2012 4:56 am

Some days, I just want to end all things and kill everyone.
Does anyone else feel like this?
Is there anything in particular that you do to release the anger?

I sometimes feel slightly miffed. When I say "sometimes" I mean "usually".

My main coping strategy is moaning.

No. That seems very unhealthy.

When I get angry, I just punch my brother a pillow.

I love hyperbole. If you feel like this fairly often, I suggest seeking professional help.

Yeah true enough, sometimes massacring a ton of people just seems like the right thing to do.
Its funny when someone shoots up a place (like that guy with the batman movie) and the media is all like "WHY WOULD THIS PERSON DO THIS! WHO WERE THEY TARGETING?!" and they cant just take the simple answer that this guy got fed up with life and wanted to go out with a bang.

Sure sometimes i get the urge to go on a massacre, but then you think realisticly, probably not a good idea, haha.

Working with kids from the age of 6 to the age of 16 requires an infinite supply of patience and calm. (95% of the time 6 and 7 year olds)

I used to rage all the time when I was a kid. The inner orcish berserk seems to have burned away after I began playing games more often than before, at the age of 15.

I can think of several things, none of them forum-appropriate.

You need a way to let off steam. Martial arts wouldn't be a bad idea.

By moaning, do you mean complaining? (stupid american) If I do that too much I feel like a wet blanket, and stress out about losing relationships with friends and loved ones. I can be incredibly negative, and frustratingly stubborn. Maybe I need to "lighten up", but I get stressed about that, too.

Scratch myself removing layers of skin.

That sounds painful.

Yeah... That'd be why I'm a little worried about it. How worried should I be? I've got a session with my trainer and he's teaching me to box... maybe I'll jump my meeting up by a day.

EXACTLY! I feel like such a tool when I rant, though. I guess this applies to the "lighten up" idea.

I'm not exaggerating, though. Maybe it's a perspective issue. I can't possibly want to end all things, because I don't know all things. That's be impossible. I guess I just want to end MY world.
Is that suicidal?

Writing (if you're the writing type). Write a story and put your anger, depression, frustration, what ever into good use where appropriate in the story. Worked for me when I was younger (and the story became quite long, yet not a showcase of my "bad" feelings).

Yes. The other sort of moaning, by which I presume you mean groaning vaguely, is mostly reserved for hangovers.

Friends and relatives tend to be the source of both the most happiness and the most frustration in almost anyone's life.

I don't really get angry that often. If a person close by makes me angry I'll rant at them, argue with them or, if we're really close friends, hit them hard enough for it to hurt a little bit, but not harder.
If I get angry at people I don't know at all, like someone saying something on the interwebz I feel strongly against, I'll rant at them.
If I feel angry at the world or people in this world, I'll either rant about it to some random person or just do whatever I did before I got angry, trying not to flip.

This.

Was feeling like you did 3 years back, then my life moved on. I found a career path that I really REALLY wanted to go down, worked my hardest and achieved so much more then I was predicted. I'm off to university to study Law when they said I would fail my GCSE's (Which are like, basic qualifications).

I still, from time to time, feel what you feel. But I just run on the principle that everything happens for a reason, so when good things come up I can then justify the bad things. Strange I know, and pretty absurd. But it works.

I don't like to do that, because I start planning stuff and then I feel REALLY crazy.

You need a way to let off steam. Martial arts wouldn't be a bad idea.

I'm currently working on my boxing form. Having a punching bag helps, but I only can afford it twice a month.

Writing (if you're the writing type). Write a story and put your anger, depression, frustration, what ever into good use where appropriate in the story. Worked for me when I was younger (and the story became quite long, yet not a showcase of my "bad" feelings).

Honestly, writing it down - here and talking it out a bit has calmed me down. There might be something to this whole "write it down" stuff. Although, I might come here to vent my grievances.

OH! I just remembered the other kind of moaning, too. Usually I make other people (well, one other person) do the moaning winkwinknudgenudgeknowwhatimeanknowwhatimean?

If you want to give up, rather than keep moving on, then yeah maybe.

Hmmm... this also worries me.
Damn I worry a lot.

This. Save one or two people. Wait!!! MY COMPASSION!! IT'S RETURNING!!
I really think there's something to this "ranting" thing...

Yeah. You should probably find someone to talk to.

Is an internet forum an acceptable place to do this kind of thing?
