ANNOYING TEXT CENTERED

Post » Thu Sep 26, 2013 1:10 pm

in all the mmo's I have played they have allways put directly in center screen a message area. and every time I enter a new town or start a quest or level up a skill. I find this extremely annoying and requesting kindly that the developers please put this text messages on the lower left or right hand side of our screens. I absolutely do want red text centered screen if its from a GM, then yes please by all means I want to see that. but all other text please allow it to be moved to the lower left or right side of the monitor or HUD.

quite often, and almost allways, I will be looking at something or involved in pvp or a fight with a mob and find I cant do anything but wait until the text fades away allowing me to see what I was doing. I cannot express here in words or text how annoying it is.

if you refuse to move it to the lower sides of the HUD then atleast please allow us to clik on it and drag it to where it is more comfortable.

asking this kindly and with respect.

Considering there will be UI mods, it is probable that you can edit the UI at least to some extent. Lotro, SWtor, and DDO have a similar system, though SWTOR has no UI mods it does have a very extensive UI customization.

I just threw up a little bit and feel nasua from having to make this request. I find it hard to believe that any development team would not know how annoying that text centered messages are when placed directly in my face like they have been for many years.

I have no interest in a mod. im talking about fixing this from the start just exactly like it was in morrowind we could move anything on the screen by just clicking on it and moving it to a more comfortable area on the HUD.

Yeah, all three of those games have good UI customization even without mods. I was just saying that if they have UI mods, then they probably have something as simple as moving stuff around the screen.

Most games let you customise the positioning of the UI straight off the bat without needing mods. Both LOTRO and ST:O allow you to move all the windows and boxes and displays around to your hearts content and all without needing mods.

that would be heavenly, and perfect

I remember in skyrim it was not allowed .. we had 2 choices of HUD on or HUD off. wasn't any ability for customization. ofcourse im talking about xbox360 tho, im not sure if PC allowed it or not.

Nope, but it was also not an MMO.

Totally agree with this, in fact mods or no mods ESO needs to have a feature that allows you to re-arrange your HUD completely.

I dont think devs are going to customize UI especially for you, so you either swallow it, or mod it. Its not that difficult really
