Another char, help?

I'm thinking Nord Archer who fights for the Stormcloaks. I will rp doing the civil war quest line very slowly and will kind of rp as a hold guard/stormcloak soldier to make the length of it seem longer and more "meaty"
On this char I will be a traditional nord and have a family and buy the hearthfire DLC.

My other option will perhaps be a Nord but I'm not sure, I wan't him to be a companion, a "Ranger" type class and also a werewolf. What race would suit this best?

I don't know which to do first as I know once I do one I won't do the other for a while, what do you recommend?

It does not really matters what race you choose.

It does from an RP standpoint.

What do you mean, you do not know what to do first? Mind you, I haven't done any of the Civl War quests, so not sure if I can help you.

Do the CW and Companions together on the same Nord character - alternating between questlines would also make the CW seem longer.

You can roleplay as a fighter for the Stormcloaks from any race. You just have to figure out your backstory. For instance, let's say since you want to play a ranger that you choose to be a wood elf. Well, what if you're playing a wood elf who was travelling through Skyrim with a band of Khajiit merchants and saw the horrors of the Thalmor first hand. They killed your merchant friends and were chasing you when you were caught by the Imperials at the border, which starts the game. Now that you've escaped, you realize that you should join the Stormcloaks to stop the Thalmor tyranny and avenge your friends, using your skills as a ranger and your newfound birthright as Dragonborn. You can even take the RP further with the Dragonborn thing- maybe you signed up to be part of that merchant caravan because you were drawn to Skyrim in dreams, calling you to the north.

You can apply this to any of the races.
