Another GECK starting probleme

Post » Wed Dec 22, 2010 4:42 pm

Hi there

I got the Steam-version of New Vegas. I tryed a few ways of installing Geck (the ways i found in this forum). The first version i was trying to install was the F3-Version (shame on me). Now i've got it installed the right way in the right folder, but the folder ( D:\Games\fallout4\steammaps\common\fallout new vegas )is empty, just the 2 folders "mod" and "Install info" are in there. Did i accidently deleted some important files, when i deletet the F3-Version or do i miss a step for the right installation?

greets

edit Just started the game and it worked, so it seems nothing is missing, what did i wrong?

I have both F3 and FNV version of GECK installed on same machine. and I have steam version of both fallout 3 and fallout new vegas.

I don't understand how you can have empty folder. Check your steam and see if your new vegas is installed correctly, and select "property -> local files -> verify integrity of game cache."

Hi there

( D:\Games\fallout4\steammaps\common\fallout new vegas

Check your path to steam. it should be "Drive:\steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\"

you have fallout 4 in place of steam.. make sure thats the path to steam by right clicking on the steam icon if you have one and going to properties and then clicking on open file location. that should a window directly to your steam folder

Ok thank you both for the answer. I checked the path and found it. It was saved under "Programms\Steam" and not "Games\Fallout4" which are on differend drives.
I don't know, why i have a Fallout4-folder, if all of the game is in the steam-folder, but who cares, now it works.

So thanks again and greetings
