Another "taking a break" thread

So I have been playing Skyrim and Fallout for far too long of a stretch again, to where nothing is exciting and there is no real motivation.
So spur of the moment I decided to DL Far Cry 3. Never played any of the other ones and figured it would be a nice break- plus it was 33% off I believe.

I had heard it wasn't that good and not really worth it but I'm about 4 hrs in and I'm actually really enjoying it.
It runs really smooth and simply has a nice finished feel to it.

I tend to stay away from FPS's but this one certainly feels unique to me. I have it on the difficulty level right under the hardest which actually makes it fun and not just a grind-fest.
It only takes a few bullets to down your enemy as well as yourself. It makes it feel more realistic in this sense.

I also like what I have seen with the hunting so far. It actually feels like I have to track down these certain animals so I can get their hides and turn them into storage/ holsters. It's also nice when I learned that I was being hunted as well, not by humans but by the carnivorous predators.

All in all I'm liking the break from Skyrim, it's nice to see a shooter that has some depth to it.

Anyone else feel the same?

I take breaks all the time. It probably doesn't help that I have nearly 50 games on my Steam account, so I could be playing Skyrim and slowly thoughts of Mount & Blade: Warband creep into my mind ... next thing I know I'm playing that for weeks or months .. until I start thinking of new ways to build rockets for Kerbal Space Program ... etc, etc. I'm ok with that though, the games will patiently wait until I am ready to play them again.

I liked Far Cry 3 and had (will have again) fun with it. It's not a deep thought provoking game by any means .. but it's still fun. I was initially surprised when it turned out the wildlife was more dangerous than most of the gun wielding humans though :D
