Has anyone actually ventured back into Skyrim after setting sail towards Morrorwind? If so, do the Greybeards or Paarthunax shed a little more light on Miraak or what made him go astray?

Isn't Miraak like WAY older than the grey beards? Why would they know anymore about him?
