Any chance this will be able to be done now?

Are we going to be able to mod NPC's (guards, companions) and humanoid enemies (bandits, daedra, vampires, etc.) the ability to jump this time around?

The biggest "game breaking" flaw IMO with all the games is that you can just get on a rock and kill anything while laughing in its face. Imagine how scary the game would get if they did that to you or if they could just jump up there and kill you just as easily as if you were down on their level.

I'm not sure why I never saw this in OB or MO (I'm sure there is a valid reason) but will it be possible this time around?

I think I've seen some NPCs perform some sort of a jump... But I'm not sure. It was like if they jumped from a high place to a low one, and it didn't seem like a fall.

NPCs (at least compaions) are religiously against "falling" down rocks or jumping down to follow you, even if it doesn't come close to hurting, and they like to swim about as much as my cat. They just stand there at the water's edge while you swim miles away.

We need to fix these things!

Those are probably still checkboxes on their AI package- Allow Swimming and Allow Falls. Allow Falls and the dodgy AI can combine to 'Allow Suicides' though...

They seem to play a jump animation when they drop down (instead of just falling while running forward) but I don't think they can really jump upwards.

Yeah, because none of us can just Fusrodah them to their deaths in the same circumstance.

Drop down points in the NavMeshes... In some cases they're missing.

Yup, they're pretty common in some dungeons, where at the end of the dungeon there's a drop down to the entrance so you don't have to walk all the way back.

I haven't noticed any missing ones but I don't always have companions with me.

Also, what about the spiders? They scared the crap out of me until I realized that they can't climb up/down walls/rocks and are just as limited by movement as your average low intel Draug.

Can we make them able to walk up or down anything like real spiders?

This. And the jumping animation they use is pretty cool. I went into one dungeon where the entrance was a series of jump downs and I thought there is no way he's gonna follow me down (early dungeon with him following me) and he jumped down them all.

Also, I haven't had problems with my follower, Marcurio, swimming with me but I always keep in mind where he is relative to where I am and try to keep an easy path open between us and don't get too far ahead of him. One of the keys to keeping an unmodded Beth companion with you is don't get too far ahead of them. Keep in mind, also, that they navigate via objects placed in the environment that create paths for them (navmesh) and will only go where those are. They jump from those points, they run after you via those, etc. That's why they go such seemingly ludicrous and annoying routes that make no sense to you because you are free to move about any where you wish but they aren't.

And, if a follower gets totally stuck, refuses to follow, insists on taking the long way and gets lost, etc you can use the console to call him/her to you with:

Prid refid (click on the follower in the console to get that number and write it down to keep handy)
Move to player

Oh, the only problem with swimming I've run into is Marcurio decided to fight with slaughterfish one day and wouldn't come out of the water (like the FO3 companions and Mirelurks lol).

I'd LOVE to walk into a high ceiling room in a Dungeon and think the coast is clear.......until I look up and see the ceiling covered with spiders

Just the thought of having to navmesh the walls and ceilings as well as the floors... :banghead:

More trouble than it's worth? That would be a lot of trouble.
