Since my copy of the game doesn't work (can't click anything but options) I need a game very similar to it. I'm a fan of 4x and turn-based games and the only other fairly new one I've heard about is Disciples 3 which I've also heard isn't that good.

I tried Port Royale 3. It's not quite 4x but it's a decent enough game. I have Gal Civ 2 and Sins Of A Solar Empire which are good, but Elemental is supposed to be the spiritual successor to Master Of Magic which I love. It also has randomized maps which is sorely lacking in games today.

At least it was cheap! I'd love to get it working but support is awful and apparently only a few people have this problem and nobody has the solution. If you need to know what the problem is: I can't click anything on the main menu except options most of the time. The few times I can click New Game I can't click anything ingame. I've tried hardware cursor and other settings in prefs but nothing works, and on the forums only a handful of people have this problem and nobody has given a solution. At least it only cost me $7.

Elemental: War Of Magic is pretty much a spiritual successor of http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/master_of_magic. Well, sort of.
