Any negative effects about being a werewolf?

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 3:14 pm

Just wondering if there was anything negative about staying as werewolf. I don't want to cure myself so I can't get turned into a vampire. I know you can only be one or the other.

Spoiler

I found that you get no rested, well rested and very well rested. You also gain immune to sickness.
However you loose the rested bonus, and I think that's a pretty heavy trade off.
But you can sprint faster.

Pros, run faster, no sickness and you can run faster.

Cons, no rested and its basiacally useless IMO in combat.
Everyone will hate you if they see you turn.

I think it's balanced pretty well against being a vampire. The vamp gets a ton more powers, but the negatives of being a vampire are also a lot worse and impact more on gameplay (ie. you wither feed a lot or play at night); whereas the werewolf only really gets great strength and speed and a Battlecry move (and passive disease resistance), but your detriments are limited to not receiving a well rested bonus.

..I do wish they'd force transformation once a month though, it's too easy to forget you're a werewolf when you can go forever without ever turning again.

EDIT: Wut? Post above saying the werewolf is useless in combat!? I imagine that depends entirely how you play. For melee fighters it only makes them more powerful.

How do I burn myself? This is important.

It's not important at all, but if you're suicidal for no known reason I recommend visiting a professional to help you.

@Topic: The only bad thing about lycantropy is the lack of "Rested" bonus.

What are the bonuses for being rested and well rested?

I think it is as follows:
+5% skills for 8 hours in a bed
+10% skills for 8 hours in a bed you own or rent
+15% skills for 8 hours in a bed you own with your spouse?

Not useless at all in combat...

You just need to know how to use it well. Sprint attacks do a lot of damage, and they will rarely hit you sprinting past them.
