Used to be one nearby, but it got closed. It was a privately owned mom and pop kind of place. I mainly went there to buy Sonic comics, so didn't buy much else. Now I have no where to get any comics since most places near me are lucky if they even have an Archie comic.

Here in southern Norway there is a nerd stuff chain called Outland. They sell imported comics, manga, props and jewelry replicas, fantasy/scifi memorabilia, T-shirts, lego and a bunch of other stuff. It is really expensive there so I don't buy a lot when I go to one of their stores.

I love that show! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0qDy0T5WXM (even the newer ones are still funny) :D

As for a comic book store: There is a farmer's market called Denio's (Anyone living around Sacramento may know where I mean), and in the center there was a huge building with all these old games and collectibles. Comics were one of them, so one time I bought a few. I do not remember what they all were but one of them was The Avengers.

Most comic shops around here cant survive off comics alone, so they sell a crap ton of other things. The biggest one being Comics-N-Stuff. They have like 4 or 5 locations within San Diego county.

They sell anything from coins, action figures, posters, trading cards, and of course comics. And a lot of Japanese anime products.

There was one where I lived when I was younger that I visited frequently but since moving I haven't been in years so I don't know if it's still around.

I live only a few steps away from one, used to be a regular there years ago, but it's been quite some time since I last was there now. My interest in comics is simply just not what it used to be.

Live near one (relatively speaking. Still like a 15-30 min drive.)

Mostly buy... WH40k stuff from it, not comics or anything else.

I go to the sole comic book store in the city on a regular basis, mostly to buy cards and books, and to play games with my friends there. Yesterday I went there to buy a box of boosters in a new set called Dragon's Maze that was released for Magic: The Gathering that day.

I mostly just go there on Monday evenings to play Magic.

There are 3 of them within a 10 minute drive from my house. Plus several more surrounding those.

I've never been to any though as it really isn't my thing.

Looking at the website, the closest one seems to be true to the whole comic book thing. They have loads of comics, and the other things like cards, RPG's, and board games.

I used to practically LIVE in one during junior high. Every day after school I'd head there and play Magic, Mage Knight, WAR40k, D&D, etc. It was awesome.

I remember them having a 1977 (IIRC) Millennium Falcon, still in the box. I think they wanted something like $400 or $500 for it, but the owner said he wouldn't sell it to kids, because he wanted it to go to a collector.

$400 to $500 is pretty pricy for a vintage Millennium Falcon seeing as the films just came out back then, I can see it nowa days because the original M.Falcon's mold is now gone bye-bye, but the new M.Falcon is just as good if not better...but Hasbro could have at least added some Lando quotes from ROTJ but still it's a good ship for collectors, for play---I don't recommend it-it's just to big and expensive for play.

Well this was between '01 and '04 when they were selling it.

Sadly, the store has long closed down. Another comic shop took it's place, but that closed down just over a year later. I live close to a big college town, and there's a comic shop there, but it's just comics and books. No D&D, MTG, etc. etc. etc. The nearest actual comic/hobby shop is about an hour and a half away, and I can't justify driving back and forth.

Ah okay that makes since still $400-$500 dollars for a vintage M.Falcon is a bit to pricy, even a Power of the Force M. Falcon new in box is no higher then $350.00 lowest about $120.00 Dollars----> http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000LRKTZ8/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new&qid=1367671469&sr=1-4 .

We have Outland here as well. It replaced another comic store called Avalon, where I used to buy all the Ranma 1/2 mangas when I was younger. I haven't been there in many years - mostly because I didn't find anything of interest the last time I visited it.

I closest I had to one of these was a comic book stand at RITE-AID. It's where I got all my Wolverine comics from.

I used to buy Sonic comics there during my Sonic phase, then they stopped selling them. I eventually just got a subscription until around 2010 or 2009. Currently seeking out Batman comics, but they seem to be near impossible to find. I can find trade paperbacks at bookstores, though. I also really like manga, but the stuff I like isn't Naruto, so my town could give hardly two craps about them. I was lucky to find the first volume of Yu-Gi-Oh.

I had the help of a used book store when I attempted to get into pen and paper RPGs. someone brought in a crapton of books and a good amount of them were World of Darkness ones.

I just noticed crap is my favorite word I am able to use in most places...

I just went to see if the one I used to go to as a kid is still around, and it's not. :meh: Now I need to get all my comics off E-Bay until (hopefully) a new one opens up around here.
