I just recently obtained Hearthfire. I understand that there are 3 locations to buy your plot of land on which to build that dream home. I am hoping to get the one near Dawnstar ("The Pale") since it is a snowy place and appeals to me. Am I wasting my time helping Jarl Skald with the bad dreams quest in order to make thane? Should I be working on Falkreath or Morthal quests first? I have not made thane in any of these locations yet. My Argonian Warrior is lvl 25 and about to swallow some Torpor potion~

Essentially, I am curious as to whether there are any game-impacting advantages of one location over the other two. I would love to hear thoughts from those of you that have been there and done it all with Hearthfire. Your feedback will be digested~
