Any trailer or cinematic featuring female wanderer?

What does a 2-caps build look like? I'm guessing the Party Boy perk will be maxed out. I mean, can't let all that radioactive stout go to waste.

My Inquisitor was a atheist(also black) in DAI  . Personally I get why people want a female character. It someone they might be able to relate to more or they want to see the difference between the genders.I always make my character black and if there is something to do with religion I always go with being none religious. I wouldn't care if we got a black, female, ect SS for marketing.

I'm not fussed about the advertising plan either  .

But my female protagonist will have a tiny hint of http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/11832806/Action-woman-puts-male-competitors-to-shame-in-gruelling-Special-Forces-training.html...

I wouldn't do that unless you want to release the male version of...what this is on the Waste.

And I think we all would take a army of DeathClaws over that.

I wouldn't mind see how the female SS cuts are like in similar situations as it seems the male version is rather bland from his "spotlights". Something tells me it is like (Mass Effect trilogy) Meer vs Hale all over again (preferred Hale).

Yeahh it was an uncomfortable moment, lol.

To be fair I don't expect that they market the game with a female protagonist, sadly, I know we are ages from that world. But it would be very nice to see some well made footage with Courtney like in E3, maybe throw a cool song there too.

I know she'll be great anyway.

Maybe.

It's wishful thinking at this point, and I suspect that if they release any footage between now and then, it will be the same footage shown at quake-con and games-com. I'm still holding my breath for the quake-con footage in general - spent most of September avidly checking /r/fallout and the Bethesda youtube channel in hopes of finding the video.

Oh well, the game is out in a little over 3 weeks.

I'm down to see some gameplay with the female protagonist for sure. I'd like to hear how she talks and evokes emotion and see what character creation options are available. Hopefully there's more actually appealing and "normal" hair choices too, instead of about half of the choices being psycho-buzz-horn raider styles which I found really freaking annoying and unappealing.

They could have went with the female protagonist for all the marketing, I wouldn't have minded one bit. As it stands now, all of the promotional stuff is either finished, or reaching its completion before being released. So I don't think we'll see the female protagonist in any promotional stuff unless they show more of their interactions before the bombs dropped. Being so close to release now, no one should be bothered by the lack of female protagonist within promotional stuff... you'll all get your chance to play as a female soon enough. What would have been cool, having a side by side footage of the male and female protagonists kicking ass and taking loot.

Same here. For me, both Bethesda's Fallout games seem to make more sense or are more interesting with female leads from a narrative perspective.

Yeah. That was something I immediately noticed and it really rubbed me the wrong way, as did Todd's "Of course you can play as a woman" comment being the only time she was addressed in any way in the initial conference thing at E3. I wouldn't mind so much but Brian's performance in pretty much every part of the game I've seen so far has just been bad. He's vacant, emotionless, unengaged, and sounds incredibly bored.

And now come back. 6 hours later and the Social justice warriors and the men's rights activists are at each other's throats.

:/

Folks cant just get along. Both parties are at fault for turning this into a pissing match.

Sjw cant you leave your request at "we really would like to see some fem ss gameplay and voice acting" rather than randomly bring up gender inequities in gaming as a whole.

MRA it really is a reasonable request, since we have a voiced PC hearing how she reacts is a legitimate concern. There is no reason to read that request as an attack on your manhood.

Be cool guys.

It would be refreshing if we could have a conversation without everyone jumping on their respective soap boxes...

I don't have much hope for that though. The internet being not much more than a Soap Box Delivery Machine.

Eh, so long as we're not throwing around insults or flinging poo I'll call it a good day.

On topic, I'd still like to see a woman protagonist in some in-game footage simply because that's going to be my character for my first playthrough. Having any kind of defined "front man" for a series where you can make anyone your imagination can dream up always seemed odd to me. But apparently in all the Mass Effect games people overwhelmingly used Default Dutch Model MaleShep as the character they used, so what do I know anyway?

At the end of the day, the game is still more important than the marketing behind it anyway.

All I'd really love is if the entire perk chart was gendered, and the physical one that comes with preorders is two-sided.

Bethesda's games have pretty much always given women a fair shake, at least as far back as Morrowind - at the same time, their marketing materials have still always been pretty par for the course for gaming, and I'm not expecting them to put out a feature solely for the female protagonist.

I wouldn't read into that "Meet the Devs" video from E3, considering Courtenay arrived late and they outright said it was a spontaneous thing. I also wouldn't read into any of the marketing materials as Bethesda deliberately downplaying the female protagonist or Courtenay Taylor, either.

Well we will be able to rely on modding at least, if we want to see some vault girl love. Though, the work needed to replace those ui animations of vault boy, yeah good luck. But some parts will be a lot easier.

Anyway, I don't see why anyone would have a problem with people wanting to see the female lead in a gameplay trailer. And talking about marketing, like some did on a certain reddit thread bringing up the same point as this thread, against the inclusion of the female lead make me wonder if they even know how marketing works. Simple marketing 101 - inclusion would mean getting more potential buyers. Simple as that. Who is and isn't in the majority is completely irrelevant.
