Any way to adjust body weight after the tutorial?

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 8:10 pm

Hello all.

I've got a character who's recently hit level 14, but I've recently been bothered by his skinniness. I designed him to be a thief, so he didn't need huge muscles, but I think I went too far when reducing his body mass. His arms and legs look borderline anorexic.

I'm just wondering, is there a way to safely alter body weight via a console command? I know about /showracemenu, but I hear it messes up the character's stats and causes various bugs. Is there likely to be a specific variable I can alter through the console instead? I'm happy with the rest of my character's appearance, it's just the body weight that's an issue.

Thanks in advance.

Use the show showracemenu, just make sure to save before you do. Go in change whatever you need to and then go check your stats. If it changed go reload and try again. Mines got messed up the first time but was perfect fine the second time. Aside from having 16 pickpocket though I don't remember pick pocketing anyone but my wife once... :P

Even if your stats survive, I've noticed certain minor clipping issues and visual bugs after using showracemenu. It's nothing major, but it does get a little annoying.

What kind of things? Could you elaborate?

I haven't noticed anything on mines. :P maybe use the same method of saving and redoing if it does mess up. I'm OCD on that type of thing so I'm sure of there was any clipping. Aside from the weapons clipping but that was there before with the bows and arrows ):

It was only weapons on my character that were clipping after the change and the sword floated a little bit away from his belt rather than on his belt; I know they were not present before I made the change.

Perhaps it was just a coincidence.

Ok, I tried it, making sure I wrote down all my abilities and buffs, etc first.

I made the changes and everything was going great. My stats didn't change and I didn't notice any clipping issues that weren't there before.

However, I realised that my racial passive ability (Imperial Luck) was gone after I made the changes. Does anyone know if there's a way to add that back via the console? I haven't saved because of this issue.

Should be possible through the console. Good catch though.
