Any way to get Sounds of Skyrim?

Post » Tue Aug 28, 2012 1:45 pm

I know the author hid all the files, due to reported savegame bloating of somekind. However, I dropped Dawnguard due to freezing and decided to just play without it. And I also read somewhere that some people didn't have much trouble with bloating. I used this mod before, but it's not on my harddrive anymore. I guess it's not possible, but I would like to use it again. Nowhere else to download it?

I could upload it for you, but I dunno if it's allowed.

I don't know either, what I do know is that the author temporarily closed it due to so many bug reports. If you ask me, that was kind of unneccesary, we know about the bugs, but at least let some people try it. It is still a very populair mod.

I guess it would be considered ok if the upload is for personal use, since uninstalling SoS has probably broken games for many players. It is only fair that they get their games fixed.

Yeah, you won't have a problem if you keep them installed.

Yeah, I'm just using it for myself. I used it before, but it's not on my harddrive anymore.

I can't see how that isn't allowed really, after all, the one installing is doing it knowing there may be problems :) I think he cloes it just so new and more people wouldn't get problems unawares. :) Personally I never had any problems with that mod. It made dungeon crawling outright scary too.

Not a good idea.

The author has specifically hidden the mod to not allow downloads.
It doesn't matter that you would take the risk of borking your game.
HE or SHE made the choice for you.
Unless the readme states explicitly that you can re-upload, you cannot.
Doing so is considered by most of this community as mod theft.
Be prepared for a community backlash if you do re-up the mod.

Don't worry about it. I have already found the files searching deeper with google, someone uploaded the older versions of Dungeons and The Wilds (1.1 and 1.0.1) months ago. And it seems those did not have the problems yet, it started when the author made a menu. So all is fine. Civilization on the other hand never did work right as far as I know. In that case no need to upload it really.

The menus aren't the issue. It's the snoring script from the Civilizations module. And it only borks the game if you uninstall it. I fixed the script on my end and sent a copy of that to Cliffworms. It's in his hands now, whenever he gets around to reading the message and acting on it if he intends to.

Even if he never answers your message we owe you a BIG THANK YOU for letting us know, what exactly caused the safe game bloating. :thanks:
