Any way to limit frames without screwing the Archery?

Post » Sun Feb 24, 2013 12:00 am

I use a frame limiter to keep my FPS in Skyrim to around 100 to avoid the major game engine graphical glitches caused by running Skyrim at 120FPS.

However, I have noticed that using the frame limiter messed with my arrow release. I fire an arrow from my bow and it take several seconds to release, if it releases at all. This of course is unacceptable as I am a level 100 archer and it's my main method of attack.

So I guess I have two questions:

1. Is there a way to limit Skyrim's FPS using the ini or without using a 3rd party frame limiter

2. Is there a way to fix the horrible physics glitching that occurs in Skyrim past 90 FPS?

What kind of monitor do you have? Most all are set to a 60Hz refresh rate, meaning you wont see anything more then 60FPS. I dont know off hand, but see if Skyrim has a Vsync option.

It is a 120Hz monitor, so it will indeed display up to 120 rendered frames per second.
