personally rather it use no drm since its proven to hinder paying customers and not stop piracy but I just wondered if there had been any official word

Probably Steamworks, as it's what Bethesda used for all their PC games published since late 2009.

But this is just my guess, as nothing official has been said.

I don't know if it's offtopic or not, but regarding the protection, please no Save File Protection on PS3, that is kinda pain in the a$$

No that's just games for windows, a logo you will find on just about any game these days.

Games for Windows is a certification. I don't know the specifics beyond the game supporting windows, and I believe if there is gamepad support it needs to support XBox controllers. All of Bethesda's PC releases since FO3 (or maybe Oblivion?) have been Games for Windows certified, but only FO3 had GFWL.
