Indeed. There's a stream starting in 5 minutes, which will demonstrate the first large scale battle: http://www.twitch.tv/totalbiscuit

Not even BF3 can compare to what this game is aiming for in scope. Plus it's a persistent world and all that.

And free2play. :D

I see lag, even small hiccups, being a problem.

I also foresee cheaters. I'm always paranoid about cheaters in FPS games.

Other than that, it looks very dated but interesting.

I missed out on the first Planetside, but I heard it was incredible. From what I've seen of Planetside 2, it could well become my new favorite game. :D

I've got the beta, and I gotta say, this game blows Battlefield 3 out of the water. Large scale is truly large. Every moment of action feel epic.

I was in a battle today for about four hours pushing back and forth between two bases. At one point I counted over thirty aircraft in the sky above the area we were fighting in. Between the bombers, troop escort gunships and tanks and mechs on the ground, it was incredibly hectic, but incredibly satisfying when we made the push and secured both bases.

The largest battles in Battlefield 3 (the largest 'large scale' game I've played) are 32 vs 32 on a map that's roughly 700 meters from end to end. The battle I took part in today had between 200 and 300 people in it in an area that spanned around 3,000 meters. That was roughly 1/12th of the map.

I'm in the beta, it's amazing. Even on low graphics settings.

http://www.twitch.tv/totalbiscuit/b/330755015 Check 21:20 onwards for a bit. Now that's epic scale.

The NDA has just been lifted too, so expect a lot of crazy videos on youtube.

That is EXACTLY why I'm loving this game. The scale is almost silly. I wanna note that this moment isn't a rare event! I've seen similar things happen on more than one occasion!

Signed up for beta three or four months ago. Haven't got a key yet, but that doesn't really suprise me considering the popularity of the game.
Also, NC 4eva, and stuff.
