Camp McCarran. I sold some things to Sgt Contreras to include fiend armor. He is now wearing it to include the helmet. While that is amusing (except I almost shot him when I walked back in and saw him in the shadows) the game keeps freezing after I sell to him. I conclude the transaction and it is a close up of him with the words "Take your pick" under him. Frozen. Is it because of the fiend armor or something else? Looks like I can't sell to him anymore. Thanks for any help.

Nah, he wears it because the things you sell him go directly into his inventory and not his store inventory, possibly an oversight on devs parts. I can't explain the bug though.

Most of the things I sold him, I could buy back. The fiend armor and one Laser RCW are not available.. Nonetheless, thank you for the quick reply. Hopefully it will sort itself out and I can do his quest. Got it from him, but didn't start it. Busy with other McCarran quests. He does look goofy in that armor, especially the helmet. I'm sure Colonel Hsu will not be amused, and Lt. Boyd will probably just shoot him.

Inventory bugs can usually be solved by dropping everything on the floor and picking it up again.

So, find a flat floor, no rugs as things can drop under the rug, and drop everything, even the misc stuff and the clothes you are wearing. The floor in the room with the Contreras will work for this. Pick it all up one by one, then you should be able to talk to the vendor again.

Thank you, I will give that a try the next time I see him. I went to Dr. Kemp to see if I could sell that dirty rotten spy's things to him. :biggrin: I could. Earlier I had sold Dr. kemp some things I got off of fiends. He is now wearing Cook Cook's armor and mask. Don't know if I would trust a doctor wearing that stuff.

You can do it before. My theory is that some item got a glitch stack (it thinks there is more than one, but there is not, or there is more than one, but the game only counts one for the Pipboy) This should reset the counters which should eliminate the issue. Hopefully anyway.

I dropped everything on the floor, picked it up, then tried to sell to Contreras. No go. He is the only one I can't sell to. This svcks, as currently he is the only one selling .308 ammo.
