Anyone else disappointed at quest length?

Don't get me wrong, the quests are pretty good. But they don't have the epic scale and length the Oblivion quests did. I've finished the "Mages Guild", Companions, Dark Brotherhood, and Thieves Guild and they were far far too short imo. There were almost NO huge exciting points in the plots. They were all "Go here and deliver this, kill a FEW guys...literally, and report back. There was almost NO exploring in ruins or dungeons like in Oblivion. The Thieves Guild seems to be the longest lasting and they took away the fencing required to get new quests which, albeit repetitive, would have been fun. But they didn't vary the locations visited at all in the quests. None of it is epic in scale or length and I finish 2 questlines in the time it would take to finish 1 in Oblivion. I think Skyrim is FAR beyond Oblivion in every aspect except this...(and item moving xD) Anyone else think future DLC should focus more on length and exploring?

My favorite quest in Oblivion was the Collector quest where it all starts with you collecting the Ayleid Statues.... then the Elf (forget name) sends you on further quests and you realize another mercenary band is in competition and it culminates with the Elf transforming himself into a Lich.

And it was just a sidequest, totally optional. Yet it took you into multiple dungeons, had twists and turns and an epic ending.

Sad to hear this .... was hoping there'd be some long, in-depth quests on all levels (side and main guilds)

I'm with you. I'm a little iffy on the guild quests. I like what they are doing with the "Radiant" quests (the randomly generated ones), but I felt like I just started the Thieves Guild when I'm suddenly it's leader. And even then I didn't feel like the leader because nothing about it changed.

Yeah the side and radiant quests will take up my time, and trust me I'll buy every piece of DLC avaliable for this game too xD Even...horse armor... xD I hope they add an arena. I'm sure they will because that was many peoples favorite part of Oblivion. Maybe they plan on extending the guilds with DLC? But there is plenty to do without super long quests, it just disappoints me. Seems like they skimped on quest length and put in more interesting free-roam exploration. And the after quest for the Thieves Guild, where you have to establish it in each city, is going to take longer than the actual questline :/

Agreed :(

The quests are better, but shorter.

Yo retards. Don't forget to join a side in the civil war. Those are some of the best faction quests in the game. Similarly, add together all the chained random quests and then the small misc ones and you get a whole lot of questing. It does, however, feel like a few of the guilds were rushed out.
