Is anyone else excited about Valenwood?

So, I've seen a lot of excitement surrounding the freedom to explore new places in Tamriel such as Black Marsh, Elsweyr, Summerset Isles, and re-exploring High Rock and Hammerfell. But I haven't seen any excitement for Valenwood yet. Is this the sort of red-headed step child of Tamriel? The one that is neglected because of lack of interest and love for the Bosmer, their culture, and their land?

Just as a means of gauging this, for how many of you would being a Bosmer be one of the first two characters you played in TESO?

I'm excited about the design of the Bosmer; unless those in the 2nd trailer were Khajiit, they are wearing horned bone helmets and bone armor. Seems the Green Pact is as valid as ever.

Bosmer could be my 2nd or 3rd character, definitely first choice in the Dominion. We haven't seen any environments from the Dominion so far, and Valenwood will be especially exciting :)

I am apprehensive more than anything. Valenwood was one of those crazy places in the lore that was described in ways that only a place not in the game world can be. I'm worried that a lot of the stuff that gives places like that their charm might be considered too hard to implement, and what we'll end up getting will be Stranglethorn Valenwood. To be fair, we all know that Bethesda would give it that kind of treatment, but we haven't seen what ZOS can do yet. Though they've already said that the migrating city of Falinesti won't be moving, and this seems likely to be indicative of bigger changes made for the sake of ease of development, in fact it's a pretty big change in itself.

Those were my thoughts exactly regarding the Green Pact

No, they never said that. You are thinking of a gameinformer article that was referencing the 3rd edition of the Pocket Guide to the Empire. Falinesti didn't stop moving until the 3rd era. For all we know, Falinesti might not even be in the game at launch.

I'm gonna have to go reread that article. They honestly did a poor show with that article; there were a lot of assumptions made based on misinterpretations and bad info, that they then presented like it was the word of the devs. This may indeed be a case of that that I didn't catch.

Edit: from the gameinformer profile of the aldmeri dominion:
"Valenwood is located in the southwestern region of the Tamriel. Home to the Wood Elves, Valenwood is covered by wide swaths of uninhabited forest. Swamplands and tropical rain forests dominate Valenwood’s coasts, but the nation’s most unique features are a few of its cities which are housed in giant, migratory trees. Valenwood’s capitol Falinesti, actually used to migrate south in the winter, but the tree containing the city has recently stopped walking."

we shall see....

Agreed. There was little to nothing of value in those pieces. At least not a whole lot that we didn't already know for some time. I was largely underwhelmed.

I'm planning to play a Bosmer but I am a bit nervous about how they and Valenwood will be presented. I am a traditional fantasy type so if the Bosmer are portrayed as tribal wildmen running around mostly jungle and eating people I might not be able to tolerate that. In that case I will go Breton Scout most likely. If the Bosmer are clannish woodland warriors and Valenwood is not too crazy a place I could handle that.
