is anyone else experiencing this?

i mentioned this in my last topic, but everyone seems to be completely ignoring it... thats why i hate asking multiple questions in a single topic, people tend to only pay attention to one of them, maybe two.

anyway, the game ran fine at first, but as i started building the house in the pale, expanding it and everything, the map of skyrim started getting less and less detailed, looking kinda odd... and even some of the loading screen models would appear in low-quality, like the argonian barkeep cleaning a mug, his head was low-quality, but the rest was fine... it looked creepy, but then the rest of his model became low-quality, too, before the loading screen finished.

i also noticed as i travel around, the textures will appear low-quality and suddenly 'pop' into the normal quality im used to... its got me worried.

i think i might just reload and not bother building any of the houses, i'll just keep my family in proudspire manor in solitude.

Have you tried re-installing HF? When I installed Dragonborn, for some reason a lot of the items went completely dark on me. For example Dawnbreaker wouldn't be shining it would just be a black blade as if it was a shadow. I then re-installed DB and everything was fine. Untill now no problems with HF so sorry I don't have a direct awnser to your question.

Good luck with it

The Xbox 360 has been suffering this for a while, so I assume you are a PS3 player who has only recently noticed it. Wait until the grass starts growing almost literally under your feet. The same thing is going to happen with Dawnguard, so you want to play the DLC I would just get used to it. Till they actually find a better solution to freeing up resources, the game is just going to struggle with the extra content. A few low res textures and some late growing scenery is hardly game breaking, you can get used to it if you want to play the game enough. Later you will probably also discover some of your scenery just plain fails to load, your game starts freezing all the time even with autosaving disabled and you get endless loading screens. Then you have problems.

A fresh character can lighten the load. On the Xbox 360 clearing the system cache and doing a completely fresh install of everything can help, but I never bothered looking to see what the recommended way was of getting your PS3 game playable again, I have not had any problems yet.
