Nope, i don't feel like a beta tester. I knew what i was getting when i bought it...
I played the demo and from that i knew what to roughly expect on release (since it was a demo and not a beta), i'm not saying that the game is perfect and don't need som work. But since i'm not an clueless consumer, i knew what i paid for (more or less) and i'm happy with my buy, hoping some issues will be fixed over time.

Its like the PS Home beta... Started as a beta and still is a beta lol

The point is that the end user should not have to put up with this type of treatment, if you paid for a film with some of the fx missing bad editing and sound corruption ,there would be an outcry. This thread was more to give people a voice as it seems crytek?EA aint listening and its just wrong full stop. And im not just talking about online MP

But if you're shown a trailer of the movie which included "some of the fx missing bad editing and sound corruption" you should probably be smart enough to assume that the movie itself will be of the similar quality?

No cos of the disclaimer that says Not representative of finished product etc plus it was MP only - not an excuse for a product that was hyped and lied about - wheres my global illumination??????. This game was supposed to sell cryengine3 - yeh riiiiiiiiiiight SARCASM

But here is the problem, you get a demo shortly before release. The demo states "Not representative of finished product etc" and people think that everything is going to be dandy and fine on release... The disclamer just lets people know that the demo isn't the same as the retail version, not that everything is going to be fixed on the retail version.
If a demo (not a beta) has some issues, some of those issues most certainly will 'carry over' to retail version. It's not exactly rocket-science...

I'm refering to MP, haven't finished the SP yet. But i hope you aren't refering the SP to 'being a beta'...

I definately felt like a beta tester, but then again it doens't bother me all that much. I need to stop buying day 1 releases and just wait. I simlply pop out the garbage game and pop in BFBC2 for total enjoyment.

It's just unimaginable that Developers can release this kind of garbage to the market place. And then think that they can just patch it later. Console players WILL NOT wait around. As seen in the lobby's already. Crytek made such a POS that's it's actually amusing when I think about it. And to top it off...they aren't even commenting on anything (comments that actually mean something). I mean...really...$60 for Crysis 2. I fell for it. I chalk it up to a learning experience.

To those enjoying this game. My hats off to you.

It was finished. It was just not meant to be played. Or rather Crytek was more interested in creating a tech demo on PS3 and showing off their 1ms real time global illumination (and superior technical expertise) to sell CryEngine 3. Instead of creating a game that runs at a decent frame rate with responsive controls.

As much hate Infinity Ward gets they're the only (shooter) developer that leaned more toward performance over graphics on the playability~pretty spectrum this generation and made sure that the controls were as responsive as possible on every system.

well as of today, i wont be coming back here, sorry it had to end this way guys, but the trade in value of this game is plummeting fast , as ppl trading in game in loads, so im getting out now, whilst its worth anything, and can always pick it up again cheap if they fix it, but by then i probably wont care anyway, as other games like rage, brink, bf3 are on way, and i got bc2 and kz3 and even uc2 mp which i only played first time yesterday, great fun.

hope all works out for u guys, but dont get hopes up too high
