Just curious, is anyone else only going to have one character, at least to start with? In most MMO's and games I play I usually find I like to complete EVERYTHING on one character (which usually takes a while lol) before I go on and do specific things with others. Probably for ESO I'll do one character in each faction, but I'll finish my AD one first.

How many characters are you guys planning to have?

Planning to have two right off the bat. Because of my line of business, I can only develop 1 char probably but I'll have the backup character just in case i get frackd on my first playthrough.

I am only a 1-character-a-game guy. Unless there is a part of PvP I like or if Cyrodiil's PvP interests me, I may make another toon. Even in GW2, I only have one character. Same thing with the single-player ES titles.

I'm an altaholic, so I'll probably start by creating my favorite ES archetypes (Breton rogue, Orsimer knight, Dunmer wizard, Nord berserker), then I'll make other things whenever I want to try something else out. For you guys that only play one character, can I have your unused character slots?

I typically play one character. I want to be the best at what I do, so I put all my time and efforts into that character.

Before quitting WOW (before cataclysm came out) my /played was over a year on that one character.

I will have one main character that will have my namesake on it, the other characters will be for "whatever". I do want to experience all the quest arcs of all 3 factions, so at least 3 characters but really only 1 for the MMO experience, the other two will primarily be for single/small group stuff.

I am playing with the idea of making Bard characters for each alliance but I won't ever level them and they'll just be there for RP and flavor purposes.

But only one character that I actually play on. I hate alts and the necessity for them.

I fall somewhere in the middle of this. Will create whatever I *think* will be my main, and then most likely a few alts here and there to see the other faction's starting areas etc.

Take WoW for example, I started Alliance due to RL friends, then eventually made some Horde characters, wound up liking the Hunter, but when I rolled a BE Warlock.....suddenly I was home. Loved the class, the RP of the BE's was great etc.

So I voted 2 as I will almost certainly have 2 ideas at launch competing for main status, but eventually will fill the slots (minus 1 or 2 unless I can convince the wife to get her own account, normally just steals a slot or two from me and plays very casually).

I will stick with one character (assassin / archer) 98% of the time. I like to spend my time to be as strong as possible with 1 character. they said there will be 23 alliance ranks at launch in the Cyrodiil AVA system so I really want to climb that and get my character all the passive bonuses, stats or what not to be as deadly as possible on the battle field. if it works like DAOC's realm rank system then it will takes years to get to those higher ranks and I can always keep playing to make my character better without hitting that "my character is capped out wall"

I will have just one character.

That having been said, I will have to make a few other characters just because my friends like to make specific characters that we play for just those groups.

So, yes, I will play one character, until I play more than one.

I will have one main that I will spend a majority of my time playing, but I will have multiple alts that I will level up.

Two is my best bet, I don't have so much time to level many characters.
