I made a new character today in order to test out my new follower mod I made and right away I went to Riften in order to join the thieves guild. In the mission where I'm supposed to steal a ring and plant it on someone else, I've encountered a problem: No matter how well I'm hiding, I'm still detected! I thought there was a guard somewhere so I left the area and went to the water walkway down below where there was absolutely no one.

Guess what? I'm still detected!

In order for me to continue the mission, I had to use the console to toggle detection on and off because no matter what I did, I was still being detected. Is my follower causing this? Is there a way to make sure they're not detecting you? If it isn't my follower, whats causing everyone to detect me, even when I'm hidden far from everyone's view and not moving?

I have a stealth skill of 100% A ring of +35% a necklace of +35% and have the boosts from my guild masters armor...

I get detected by pert near EVERYONE!

But whats the situation? Are you hiding clearly out of sight of everyone for example?

Nope...I hug the shadows...stay behind them...behind a handy tree...ecetera.

Everything from dwemer spider bots to bandits seem to have some kind of sixth sense...

When I use an invisibility potion they find me faster...I'm just going to go in bold as Mister T from now on...
