Or have the same as mine? I'm playing on my gf's dads Panasonic viera plasma tv. I don't know the exact size, somewhere around 50 or so. Problem is I don't have my 360's hd cables. So I'm wondering what I can have the picture settings at to get Skyrim to look just right  thanks.

What sort of cable ARE you using then?

I've got two cables I use depending on the particular purposes now..... a full HD Composite cable I got when I got my HDTV (just one cable with a medium-size plug at either end).... and the component cable that comes with 360s by default (the one with 6 coloured plugs at one end and a big connector for the console at the other)...

If you haven't got a cable, I'd recommend getting the single-lead composite cable.

Unless it's an HDMI or component cable it won't look good, there's no TV settings to fix that. The composite cable transmits lower resolution interlaced video, it's not meant for HDTVs.

If youve only got the yellow, white and red...options are limited.

Cram em into the back (or the side) and enjoy STANDARD DEFINITION Skyrim.

You at least need the red, green and blue for HIGH DEFINITION viewing plus the additional white and red for sound

This allows a choice of 480, 720 or 1080

HDMI is the best method.

If its a fast animating/high refresh rate TV (100hz etc) use 1080i...tech doesnt do any good on 1080p

Tv contrast should be set balanced so black is black not grey...but also not to have a night & day difference between a log and some snow.

Backlight should be set conservatively.

Being a plasma its like a dimmer switch and power use jumps relatively.

Turn noise redustion off as no form of this tech can tell the difference properly between detail and noise.
