Anyone have a Pc new vegas folder that has never been modded

Post » Mon Dec 27, 2010 7:14 am

Well the details are basically there if you clicked here but long story short is I wanted to start over and get rid of all the mods and the problem is it ended up fusing with other parts of the data folder and I have no idea what deleting some of them will do. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but I had no idea where would be a better place. Still if anyone can find some way to put up or send me a modless fallout new vegas folder then you would have my eternal gratitude.

That folder contains game assets. If you think you've accidently deleted some of its content, use Steam to redownload the missing files. ;)

I would delete everything in the data folder except:

Fallout - Meshes
Fallout - Misc
Fallout - Textures
Fallout - Textures2
Fallout - Voices1

Then have Steam validate the files by right clicking New Vegas in Steam and selecting validate. This should redownload only the missing files needed.

You don't need to delete them. Steam will run a checksum on them to verify their integrity.

Click on the Report button under your name in either of your posts. Then write that you'd like your thread closed. :)

Glad it's working! :foodndrink:
