Is anyone here (ANYONE) having FPS issues like the PS3 versi

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 5:02 pm

Because I am seriously contemplating buying the XBOX360 Slim for Skyrim. I don't want to risk dedicating hours to my PS3 version and having it spazz out on me when my savefile gets too big.

Anyone having FPS issues on the 360? And is the 360 Slim finally cured of the RRoD nonsense?

I have had no lag issues so far on xbox and one crash, I have played a lot. There seem to be a lot of people having texture issues on xbox but not so far myself.

I have the original xbox 360 and I sometimes get frame lag, usually when I'm running into a new area I haven't explored, or if I am attacked by 5 animals at the same time.

I personally haven't notice any frame rate problems. The only thing we're dealing with, is the texture scaling issue...other than that the 360 version does look better and runs better than the ps3 version...I have a ps3 as well and will not get 'skyrim' for it.

You would rather spend a few hundred on a new console rather than wait 1-2 weeks for a patch? I have put 30 hours into PS3 version and having no issues.

I've compared them side by side. The Xbox 360 version run smoother, and looks better.

Being anticipating Skyrim for way too long. I know I am going to easily put 500hrs in this game EASY. I don't want to be paranoid. I hate paranoia so I won't risk it. I will take the loss and just have at the back of my mind that atleast I have invested significant time to the console.

Thanks for the replies guys. Since a patch was confimed for the PS3 I will wait and if Bethesda fails me there I will get it for the 360.

Just know, that us 360ers, have lots of issues with the game. Remember the 1.2 patch may not fix our texture problems yet, and may not fix the PS3 issues yet either. So basically you are changing one headache for another.

Are the problems on the PS3 that bad?

Its so bad.

So bad to the point that many would pick texture issues over UNPLAYABLE LAG which is completely inexcusable. Bethesda should smply be ashamed of themselves and the Q/A testers need to be fired for life!
