Is Anyone Here a Psychiatrist or Psychologist?

Don't let anybody tell you otherwise; there is absolutely no way to make a living as a psychologist or psychologist with an undergrad degree, even if that degree happens to be in psychology.

QFT!
Thats just 12 years of my life, that if I dont like it, I won't get back. Not to mention all the money that it costs to do it.
EDIT: I am currently still in High School. Not in college yet. I'm a Junior. Grade 11 if you don't understand what that means!

I was in the exact same position as you. I enjoyed helping people, and just understanding people's minds and how everyone grasps, learns and feels differently. I geared all my courses towards getting into Ontario's finest University in the hopes to get my PHD and become a psychiatrist. Your problem really hit me in my last year when I realized that i'd spent another 8+ years in school and be (tens of) thousands of dollars in debt.

I chickened out and continued to do graphic design (as it was a part time job and hobby thanks to it's popularity with bands on Myspace) and i'm now gearing towards the advertising industry which really taps into people's heads in terms of creativity and simply trying to sell something that people do not need.
